Frequently asked questions
What is a trial lesson?
A trial lesson is an introductory lesson in which your child joins a regular swimming lesson. This allows your child to get used to the pool, the swimming instructor and the teaching style, and gives you a good idea of our swimming school.
Can parents stay to watch the trial lesson?
Yes. At the first trial lesson, parents may stay by the side of the pool to watch for the first 10 minutes. After that, we ask parents to leave the pool so that the children can concentrate better on the lesson.
What if my child is nervous or stressed?
It is quite normal that children find it exciting during a first lesson. Our swimming teachers guide children calmly and step by step. We advise parents to exude confidence and keep goodbyes short.
Can I give details about my child in advance?
Yes, please. Consider fear of water, medical concerns or previous experiences with swimming lessons. You can share this information with us at registration or in advance by e-mail.
What happens after the trial lesson?
After the trial lesson, you will receive an email with the next steps. You can then decide (within 14 days) whether you want your child to start swimming lessons permanently.
Is a trial lesson optional?
Yes, participation in a trial lesson is without obligation and does not oblige you to register or officially start swimming lessons. If you paid a registration fee when registering, this will be refunded to you within 14 days of your cancellation.
