You can make it easier for your child by having them swim a lot. Make swimming fun by playing games or going down the slide together, instead of doing exercises.
The swimming instructors assess each class which children are eligible for the diploma exam. We call this "selecting." As soon as your child is ready, you will receive an email notification.
All children can learn to swim. The time it takes for a child to achieve the diploma can vary due to motor skills. Not everyone develops at the same pace. However, it often also has to do with fear. Remember that your attitude can also have an impact. If you keep warning your child that water is "dangerous," it may cause fear.
We offer a one-year membership. It can be terminated after one year or upon achieving the swim diploma via Zwemclub ABC. Early termination is not possible.
The purpose of swimming with clothes on is to simulate a realistic situation a child may encounter. This ensures that a child does not panic if such a situation occurs.

The first swimming lesson can leave an impression on a child and cause tension. Some children are more affected than others. Therefore, we advise you to discuss this with the swimming instructor at all times. Our instructors are specialized in dealing with this and can respond to it during the lesson.
In case of medical necessity, it is advisable to discuss with the swimming instructor if and when swimming goggles may be used during the lessons. Swimming goggles are not allowed during the diploma exam (except for breaststroke and backstroke). The reason for this is that if your child unexpectedly ends up in the water, they won't have goggles and need to be able to cope.
Wij werken met een leerlingvolgsysteem, dat Easyswim heet. Als u inlogt, kunt u de zwemprestaties van uw kind volgen.
Since 1998, children have been required to swim underwater through a hole in a vertical sail during the diploma exam. This task was added because the National Council for Swim Safety considers it essential for a child to not only be able to swim underwater but also to be able to orient themselves by looking around.
The National Council for Swim Safety has linked each level of swimming safety to a Swim ABC diploma. You meet the National Standard for Swim Safety when you have completed the full Swim ABC. Diplomas A and B are intermediate steps towards the complete Swim ABC.
